The Next Phelps?

While watching the Olympics the past few weeks, I couldn't help but see the physical similarities between myself and Michael Phelps. We're both tall and skinny. We both have big feet and hands. We both have abnormally large wingspans. We've both been accused of having Marfan's Syndrome. We're both cut like Greek statues and have 4% body fat. Well, maybe not so much with the last one there. But still, all the similarities make me think that I missed my calling to be an Olympic swimmer. Then I look at Nathan. His body type seems to be taking after mine, being that he's like 20 pounds and 4'2". I can't help but think that if he had the proper training during his childhood and teenage years he could actually have potential to be a world class swimmer. Is doggie paddle an Olympic sport?

Mmmmm, Corn

Here's a video of Nate chomping on his John Deere corn teether. You'll have to crank up the volume at the beginning of the video to hear the vibrating gum massager that kicks in when he bites it. Big thanks to Grandpa Mike for this clever little contraption.

Here It Is

Here it is, the moment you've all been waiting for. Liv finally got some footage of the boy tearing around on all fours.

Let the Chasing Begin

I know, it's been a while since my last post but I have a good excuse. Nathan is crawling, nuff said. He's not tearing around with blazing speed yet, he's still working on his hand/knee coordination. But he's mobile enough that you can't really leave him in a room by himself for more than a couple seconds. Anyway here's a sampling of what we're dealing with. For some reason he has an obsession with the bottom shelf of the coffee table.
I'll try to get a good video of him zipping along here soon. Until then I leave you with Olivia having fun with the boy's hair. Honestly, one of the best parts of being a parent is making your kid look goofy for pictures.
